OmegaNightVision (Mod)

OmegaNightVision is a lightweight Fabric mod that gives every player permanent night vision with a single command: /trigger nv. One trigger turns it on, another turns it off — no permissions, no setup, no configs to touch.

Features

• Simple toggle command — /trigger nv switches permanent night vision on or off, with a green "ON" or red "OFF" chat message confirming the change.
• Truly permanent — the effect is applied with an infinite duration and re-applied every tick, so it never flickers or expires.
• Survives everything — relogging, dying and respawning, even drinking a bucket of milk won't remove it. Night vision comes right back automatically.
• Persistent state — each player's on/off choice is stored in a scoreboard objective, so it holds across server restarts.
• No brewing required — players get the full night vision experience without potions, beacons, or cheating in commands that operators usually guard.

How it works

The mod ships built-in datapack functions that run on load and every tick. It creates a nv trigger scoreboard objective, re-enables it for all players each tick (so the command can be used again and again), toggles the effect on use, and tops up infinite night vision for everyone who enabled it.

Commands

• /trigger nv — toggle permanent night vision on/off (available to every player, no operator status needed).

Requirements

• Minecraft: 1.21.9 – 1.21.11
• Fabric Loader: 0.16.0 or newer
• Fabric API: not required — zero dependencies

Installation

Drop the jar into your mods folder and start the game. In singleplayer it works instantly; on a server, install it on the server side — clients don't need the mod installed to use it.

Note: since the effect is granted server-side, the mod must be present on the server (or in singleplayer) — a client-only install can't grant the effect.
